I had the privilege of working at Wembley Summer Camp for three years, two of which I served as the camp director. Over these last three years, I witnessed firsthand the magic that happens when an exceptional group of camp counselors and enthusiastic campers come together.

The staff of camp counselors was nothing short of amazing. They were engaged with the kids, always going above and beyond to create a positive and enriching experience for every camper. Their energy and dedication contributed so much to the overall camp experience, making it a place where kids could grow, explore, and have fun in a safe environment.

One of my favorite aspects of the camp was seeing the campers form deep, lasting friendships. The relationships they built with one another over the time spent at camp were truly special. Whether playing pickleball, swimming, or participating in arts and crafts, the campers found opportunities to bond over shared activities. It wasn’t just about the structured games; the counselors and kids often came up with their fun, such as impromptu DIY baseball or karaoke competitions, keeping the camp atmosphere lively and creative.

What I’ve always loved about Wembley Summer Camp is our approach to making sure every camper’s experience is their own. With various activities running simultaneously—everything from gaga ball to card games to tennis—no camper is ever forced to participate in something they don’t want to. Everyone can choose the activities that spark their interest, allowing for an incredibly personalized and enjoyable experience.

Our goal was always simple: ensuring every camper went home with unforgettable memories and a smile. Whether it was a game, a new friendship, or the sheer joy of being in a supportive and fun environment, Wembley Summer Camp always had a lasting impact on the kids.
